Yep. Obvious answer is to drop Ndidi back into a deeper role so we have a midfield three to play around them. Alternatively go to a back four but I don’t think we’ve got the personnel on the pitch to do it. If Choudhury was on I think he drops to left back so Justin could go to RB and give us an out.

It’s actually fantastic from Blackburn this. Watch that midfield shape when our defenders have the ball, they’re like a Venus fly trap sucking the CBs in, Winks and Ricardo left stranded beyond the midfield box.

They’ve got four or five players in the area of the pitch that Winks and Ricardo play, they’ve done their homework. We have to go direct and hit the pace of Mavididi, Vardy and Fatawu to beat the press. That’s what Man City would do here, they’d bypass Rodri and go straight to Haaland. I’d hook Fatawu here actually, playing like a moron.

It’s a question of football intelligence this, it’s not working and we just need to keep it simple until they lose momentum. This is why we need Coady in, someone on the pitch needs to be getting a grip on things, Vardy is never going to be that captain.
