Those numbers aren't lost on Maresca I don't think. I don't think he was necessarily expected to be first choice by this stage but he seems to be the preference at the moment.

This is true but my point stands, the system wasn’t an obvious fit for the personnel we had at the club. That’s why Enzo is in charge, he has the vision and coaching skill to make it work, but my point is we don’t have a full squad of players who are up to it.

This is definitely the downside of Maresca-ball for me. He’s brought a style of play and is adapting players to it rather than devising a system to fit what he had. It’s clearly a good system hence our position, but don’t have a full squad of players capable of doing it. Choudhury has been poor and Coady and Justin look uncomfortable as the wide defenders. I wouldn’t change what we’re doing but this is going to be a challenge for Enzo.

People think that foul is a yellow? Grabbing a player running at pace round the neck to pull him back? That’s a red in rugby let alone football. If it’s not a straight red it should be. It’s literally potentially fatal. Couldn’t give a **** about the pushing, wouldn’t even book either player.
