Strange thing is we were rumoured to be looking at Zaha 10m plus loan and the Greek striker 20m plus. So those calculations must be useful

People keep using Fatawu he started 6 games under Cooper and played 5 full games. Out of those games he started we picked up 2 points. -
2 goals in his last 7 games in 2024 against international heavyweights Malawi & Tanzania. What a hot streak for him

Where have I said that? I responded to you coming out and saying NONE of this shit show is his fault, in which case it’s pretty pointless having a manager. Not to mention, the countless examples of Managers that actually had a positive impact on teams results. At the very least I would hope a new manager comes in and the results improve on the previous manager that has been sacked. Ruud wasn’t promoted from within, he knew what he was walking into, there was a history of Rudkin issues with Rodgers, plus all the well documented PSR trouble and court cases with prior to his appointment. If Ruud didn’t get concrete assurances for what he believed he needed, to be successful his job more fool him. Instead he came out last week and said he wasn’t surprised by the lack of spending so let’s stop using as this as excuse for poor performances, or certainly poorer performances than we saw earlier in the season. Let’s hope, with key players back we see an upturn in form sooner rather than later. -

Results should improve though with Mads and Ndidi back in the line up 👀 -

The assistant was appointed a month later, A former Man City employee isn’t going to be on peanuts. whilst I agree the club wasn’t going to pay a substantial amount to get someone out of a contract His PSV assistant was Manager of an Ecuadorean second division reserve team up until Xmas, wouldn’t have exactly broke the bank. Any Keeper on the clubs books would’ve been better than someone that has previously ridiculed, blamed for relegation and has zero confidence. If you can’t be bothered reading a 30 second post in full in probably better not responding. -

Hmmm, sorry I don’t agree, what about the lack of coaching team brought with him? Appointing an assistant manager after a month. “Ruud van Nistelrooy’s right-hand man Jelle ten Rouwelaar has been hailed as an innovator who is reinventing goalkeeper coaching” Danny Ward cmon down, despite what was commonly known and the above first team coach in place. Weird substitutions, falling out with some of the younger players that were brought in to assist the “shit squad” Let’s be honest, January transfers for Rodgers made zero difference. Our summer recruitment was also a shambles the chances of RVN getting successful players in if we tried are pretty remote when it takes about 7 attempts to get one good player. In BR last season the struggles with the Transfers & Rudkin were well documented, if RVN and his agent looked at our squad and foresaw this as a huge problem and were a part of the negotiations of taking the job, he should’ve had something in his contract that allowed him to walk away with with full pay if those stipulations/guarantees were not met. I’m certainly not going to give him a pass at this stage for one of the worse starts of any Prem manager and doing worse than his predecessor that was sacked. -
We’ve got 1 squad space free - who are you signing?

Was going to say Jonjo Shelvey, not for his footballing ability but because he would’ve made a good Buddhist monk at half time -
Championship quality 6 goals in 23 one every 190 mins in the championship, Your favourite player at the time only averaged a goal every 150mins and he was playing as striker

With Mads and Ndidi back that will be like new signings, so we should according to those who made excuses for the shit performances see an uptick in results. It might be a shit squad, but he can’t come out of this with any credit, if he fails to match the previous sacked manager point per game average at the very least. -

Yeah I read it, I understood what you meant. That’s why I asked what aspects (of their game) had improved and if that was enough to say the general performance on the player had improved. I wasn’t digging you out, but curious to know if it was something I hadn’t seen. -

What aspects do you think have improved and would you consider that enough to say the players performance has improved as a result? Bilal was probably going to improve with game time anyway. Soumare had shown glimpses of being a better player under Cooper since his return from Seville. Defence has been awful in general. Attack has been worse since his arrival to? Considering the level he played and his experience as a forward, you would’ve expected the strikers to have at least looked more clinical. -
Can’t believe there isn’t a good youth striker that could get minutes and be utilised next year
-
Strange that you only picked the 9 starts and not 12, culminating in 3 straight losses or the fact that after that purple patch he started 6 more games and scored 0 and 4 of those 6 games ended in defeat
-
This should help 1 goal in his last 25 appearances

Usain Bolt’s movement is good and his fast, much cheaper wage too

Well if people are going to harp on about losing the ball, Ayew has actually been dispossessed more times and they both have played similar minutes
