That said, they were very wasteful against a terrible norwich defence...

someone posted a link a few posts back----

Exactly - PL teams are merciless, and players would rather get a move in january than risk going up through the playoffs. I think our league position will probably be the buffer to protect us - that said, we still need to sell some bloody goalies!
-
I wouldn't be so certain - given how hyped some of their players are, and that they were PL players last season - and they'd be relatively cheap by the standards of those 2 teams.
-
For what it's worth, of the players who we will lose Ndidi has played the most minutes, but he's still only played 57% of the season. It's not like we're entirely dependant on those players
-
But there comes a point when those chasing start to believe that they'll never catch the leader, the mentality then totally switches, the focus suddenly turns them from being the chaser to being the chased, and not losing the position that they have.
-
This is perhaps a massively underestimated factor - going into the january break, if leeds are looking at a 10-12 point climb to the automatic promotion places and a desperate team like man u or chelsea come sniffing, what odds on a few of their best players jumping ship?
-
I think what will ruin Leeds' chance is their inconsistency - at their best they look menacing, but they're not at their best often enough, or at least playing they way they do opens them up to be punished: We've won 81% of our games, Ipswich have won 73%, Leeds have won 54%
-
So much like our loss to Hull then? But i agree, it's silly/arrogant to rule anything out. Hopefully, it's delivered with confidence based solely on how well we are playing.

The link to London Road would be the final (and most expensive step) - but running the line to the KP wouldn't be two hard and, i believe, is scheduled as the 2nd phase - which would mean a station could be built right at the ground with , in theory, trains coming sout from derby and north from london, via mkt harbourough. It's not going to be immediate but it is likely to happen soon enough for the club to start benefitting from it. What DavieG said.

Ipswich have been leaky all season and looked poor today against norwich - i'm more concerned about their attack and their propensity for theatrics. Definitely a game for a poacher up front for us, though.

East Anglia derby should help.

Right now - at my desk.

Where i live, Lillehammer, is a very interesting case study into arena. for the 1994 winter olympics, they built two arenas Hakon and Kristin, holding 11,500 and 3,200 spectators - lillehammer has a population of 28k, so a little bigger than market harborough. Both arenas are still regularly in use. The smaller is the home stadium for the ice hockey team for most games - for the big local derby and certain major games they play in the bigger hall. The bigger hall has become a multi use venue hosting everything from concerts to handball matches to flea markets. Granted there are more alternatives close to leicester but there is also a massive amount more people, if KP are smart they could have a 6k arena running on an almost daily basis - much like granby halls at it's peak.

You can føkk off with that kind of talk - no one here wants to be thinking about sneaking into the play offs!
-
Their last 10 games they're on 2.3 - IF they can sustain that rate, they'll get 98 points
-
But we do that as well! We showed in the post 15/16 seasons that relying on that type of football is unsustainable and yet people seem to imagine this is the ne plus ultra of entertaining football - and it's not even doable unless you want to be plymouth.
-
I think that's also because the team are now comfortable with the basics we were managing with early in the season, now he is able to change things - as he said, they're still not in a place where they can do that mid half, but they are advanced enough to do it at half time.
-
Exactly - and because, more often than not plan A has worked, with a match day tweak here and there, it's very seldom that we've seen anything as "drastic" as the change he made at Millwall. Most of the critics on here can't see that but think that switching to some wonderful plan B will make us suddenly more watchable or better or something.
-
The hardest thing to fathom is why people aren't being entertained, after 21 games in 2013 we'd scored almost 25% fewer goals. even in 2015 we'd scored 3 fewer! What on earth is more exciting or entertaining than scoring goals!
-
I think you perhaps aren't fully appreciating what they do: Shot creating actions per 90 - KDH is ranked 7th in the league, mavididi 21st, fatawu 28th, ndidi 65th Goal creating actions per 90 - Ndidi is ranked 3rd , KDH 4th, fatawu 11th, mavididi 13th - in the league! So I wouldn't exactly say we struggle.

With Ward in goal, that's pretty much a given.
