  1. Yeah, the publishers asked me to do a mini-table after each game but I just ran out of time. Was editing, proofreading and adding scores/scorers right up until the final deadline. Would have been good. Maybe one for a second edition... Pictures would have been great too. They cost a bomb though and the publishers just couldn't afford it, which is fair enough. They fronted up a lot of cash to get the book done as it is. Even some graphics for each game like the ones Ryan Hubbard did, or icons of some sort, would have added something but not to worry.
  2. Not that I want to argue with your only gripe but I did just say strong appeals that could have been given, not that they should have. But fair enough. Obviously not everyone will agree with everything in there! I'm interested to hear any opinions about it really.
  3. Fairly sure the publishers would pay a huge advance for that.
  4. For those asking about sales, it's currently the publishers' second fastest-selling book ever at this stage of publication - behind Neville Southall's autobiography. Now, they're quite a small firm who have mainly concentrated on Merseyside football until recently but it's a good indication that they're happy with sales and should be open to a second book. I'd really love to do a biography next (@@ScouseFox) or maybe one on the Champions League games. Or it could be nothing to do with Leicester at all. The main thing is to spread the word if you like it. Amazon reviews, Facebook, Twitter. Then hopefully they'll take up their option on book #2.
  5. Cheers mate, appreciate that a lot! The singing at Palace was one of my highlights of the season and favourite bits to write about. Wow cheers. That's potentially the plan!!
  6. Cheers pal! Glad you liked it. I went into Waterstones in Leicester this evening and signed all the copies they have, selling really well apparently.
  7. There are lots of different percentages in the contract based on the format and numbers sold etc but it kind of levels out at around 12%.
  8. yeah there was some kind of price promise which meant when they made it £7.99 briefly anyone who pre-ordered got the new price
  9. I think they've just taken it up so they may not be in store yet but you should be able to reserve a copy through them.
  10. That's the spirit! Hope you enjoy it!
  11. Not sure. Not that I know of but it's turning up in all sorts of places. Worth asking in the Melton Sports place, would be good to get it in there.
  12. Love it! Brilliant to hear of anyone buying it for others, especially abroad! Cheers mate.
  13. Getting silly now. If it hasn't arrived by Monday let me know and I'll have a word with the publishers.
  14. They've all been sent out mate so not sure what's going on. Has your local postman run off to become a lookalike by any chance?
  15. Damnit. Wish I hadn't stuck you in the bloody acknowledgements now.
  16. Yeah, I spoke to Bob Amazon at Amazon and got him to delay sending yours.
  17. Is that through Amazon or DeCoubertin?
  18. Not sure. It's in every Waterstones. Also think it's in HMV in Leicester. Online it's cheap at Wordery and Amazon have knocked a couple of quid off too.
