  1. Don't worry, Roma can explain any difficult words for you.
  2. Nope, it's actually an oversized paperback! Yep, will be a handful over the next couple of weeks.
  3. The illustrator nailed it. I gave him a rough idea of what I had in mind and he completely ignored it and produced something a million times better!
  4. Yeah, I often scroll past the pinned topics by default!
  5. First copies rolled off the press today. https://www.facebook.com/TheUnbelievablesLCFC/photos/a.591651977652005.1073741828.495953227221881/633601246790411/?type=3
  6. I have no idea to be honest. I just want Leicester fans to read it and enjoy it. The danger otherwise is that there was no chronicle of what it was really like from the fans' perspective. Of course, competitive spirit has taken hold a bit now and I want it to sell well and when I look back on how many hours I spent on it, I won't feel guilty at earning some money out of it. If it sells well then I'll contribute some to the Foxes Foundation partly as a thanks to the Birch for doing the foreword, and I'll make a decent contribution towards a tifo. As the weeks go on since the season ended, you realise the memories do fade slightly and I'm glad I captured them while I could.
  7. Three weeks today. The publishers should have the first copies back from the printers next Wednesday.
  8. Well I've been thinkin bout All the places We danced and sang and celebrated The Etihad and White Hart Lane Let's do it again Then repeat the tune without the words like the song does. Beach Boys - Do It Again
  9. The one last season wasn't a book as such, just a few match reports from last season. No plans to do anything further with that. The book does use a couple of portions from that anyway. The book is a hell of a lot better than the great escape thing IMHO.
  10. The illustrator and the publisher who paid for it are both Scousers so you could be in luck there...
  11. Will be available soon, publishers working on it at the moment. I'll stick the link in here when it's ready, cheers!
  12. We could get Jay, James The Blue etc all contributing one track each. Smuts too if we're desperate.
  13. It's hard to choose. For what it means to me personally and how much I think they've contributed to the feeling at home games, it'd have to be Union FS. That's probably the one I'm most proud of because it's a part of the story the national media don't pick up on and I think between us we've put together an interesting chapter.
  14. The publishers are putting the eBook together at the moment. Will let you know when it's available.
  15. The Unburnleyvables. (Don't worry, there are no jokes in the book)
  16. It will be on Kindle / eBook too, yep. Not sure why Amazon haven't listed it yet. I'll speak to the publishers about it. Someone on here said they'd managed to pre-order it on Kindle, not sure how!
  17. You'd better get your wallet out then.
  18. No worries. I'm hoping it'll be in the shops too, need to do a bit of promo with them in the next week or two. HMV have ordered some so it'll be in there. It's cheaper on Wordery than Amazon with free delivery. Also available to click and collect through the Waterstones website which saves on the delivery.
  19. 30th June mate, shame it doesn't quite make it for Fathers Day but it's not far off!
  20. Started it mid-Feb last year when it looked like we were going to get relegated, just thought it would be interesting to record what it felt like. Obviously then we completely fcuked that plan up by being amazing for the last nine games. This season I carried on writing about each game with the idea that I'd aim to get it published but it needed a season like this to actually get interest from publishers. About February this year I sorted a publisher and then began to turn it into a more rounded book, interviewing a few people with interesting stories to tell and writing up brief pieces about each player. For the past two months or so I've been working 8 til 4, getting home and working on the book straight through til 11. It's been insane. I'm really happy with it though. Because of the deadlines involved and having to work a normal week on top of it there's the odd bit here and there I might have done differently if I'd had more time but it's all fallen into place just in time. The main reason for it all along has been to reflect what it's been like from the fans' perspective so hopefully it does that. Hoping to see the first copies next week or the week after. This season has definitely been two lifelong dreams rolled into one.
