It takes an idiot to see an idiot..
Not really, idiots tend to be very loud and conspicuous. It's not very often that you get a subtle idiot and you're definitely one of the first kind.

Depends. Ask Enzo, Cooper, Marti or Ruud.
I think the original question related to last permanent manager who was an ex-player. Andy King being interim

It’s funny all this reminds me of that time I saw that guy I’d seen before at the market and he saw me and he kinda did the same face that I could tell that I was pulling but in reverse somehow. And obviously all that on top of the stuff about the other thing with the two people who used to smoke but gave up was just a bit much to take, especially at a time when it was one of those months where nothing quite seemed like it used to and you kind of longed for it but also when you think about it too hard you shrivel up and die. And then obviously it goes without saying all that coupled with the other thing and then the weather and wotnot and the stuff with your mum resurfacing and the noises from next doors kids just makes you think doesn’t it? It’s a thinking time. And obviously I think most people have been thinking what I’ve just said and I know it’s all obvious but sometimes the obvious needs saying and with everything being what it is just now we probably just need to remember that when you think about it and you remember what you forgot it doesn’t really matter anyway.
Rumble's accidentally posted the first paragraph of his new novel.
Like it.

Its a dogshit appointment, lets not kid ourselves. Do you think this team are going to sit up and listen to this lad? Especially knowing its interim too. Not a ****ing prayer. Cheap and local. Literally all that got him the job
You're right. We've missed a trick here. We should have gone for Ancelotti.

Long term would have been Matt Gilles putting aside Rob Kelly and Frank McLintock who didn't last very long
McLintock lasted a season.

Long term wise... you may have to go back the 50s or 60s.
Two away trips back to back start with aint going to be easy. You hope for Gary or whoever it is at least can get something before their first home game in charge against norwich in less than two weeks.

Nuts. Why on earth this guy persists with the role if this is the case.
I suspect that Top is every inch the idiot that Charlie whassisface says he is and that without Rudkin he wouldn't know what to do. It's the only explanation that I can come up with.
The blind leading the blind.

Two simple things to do.
Move back to Belvoir Drive, mothball seagrave immediately. Sends a message.
Take down 'Foxes never quit sign' before trading standards fine us.
Maybe we could run Citygrave commercially?

We are in a downward spiral and it seems unstoppable. We have become indoctrinated to defeat. We always find a way to lose - red cards, missed penalties, conceding early goals.
If the opposition won't beat us we'll do it for them. If we had scored 4 against Southampton at home, we would have found a way to concede 5.

I always wonder this. I never speak to anyone who is 'KPFC' or thinks Rudkin or Top are doing a good job.
It's just that everything seems to have to be a binary, polarised culture war now. People seem unable to have an opinion unless there's a group they can oppose who think the opposite
I guess I'm doing that now too 😂
We're shit and it's miserable. I can confidently say 99.9% people think the same, but lots on this forum seem to think there's a civil war between them and other (imaginary) fans.
This.
A caricature has been created by some fans. Another target and someone else to lash out at.
It is largely imaginary and frankly pathetic.

If we can't get Pearson back...I'd go for Ralf Hasenhuttl. His Southampton team played great direct football and he did great with the average players he had available.
That's handy cus we've got their average players now.

The only correct answer to this question is Brendan Rodgers. It's mad to say that about an FA Cup winning manager but all of those on the list were giving of their best. Brendan wasn't. He ripped up our successful transfer model and basically left the bridge as we careered toward the iceberg.
Our current plight leads back to him.

You got to feel sorry for him. Two red cards, one stupid free kick and a penalty not so much kingy as our useless players
King is not the problem at the club but he is a experienced former pro. He can't be exempt from criticism after the Craven naivety he showed in that Southampton second half.

One of the worst things about our demise is the fact that it has created a divide between fans and genuine, but unwarranted animosity.
There is plenty wrong at this club and plenty of legitimate targets to vent your spleen, but this whole KPFC thing is horseshit and I suspect, largely invented by the protagonists who have created in their own minds an anti-fan complete with flask and even, in many cases, assigned imaginary thoughts and conversations, they have thought it through that far.

I remember there being a few who used to call him "NFP" and used to take a particular dislike to his white trainers.
I always took the NFP thing to be an affectionate moniker and a nod to his no nonsense approach and the white trainers his trademark.

I respect Dyche’s achievements but some of the mythology around him is a bit much. He was successful at getting a small club to punch above its weight for a number of years before they sacked him, and he’s been sacked from two bigger clubs since. Yet some people talk of him as if he’s Obi-Wan Kenobi.
No, it's relative. When we were big kahunas we would have recoiled in horror at the thought of the old ginger growler. We have fallen so far that in our current plight, getting him in now would seem like a real coup.

Guys you have got to stop living in the past. Football has moved on. For me Pearson was brilliant, unfortunately his Son was not. My heart would always say yes, get him back, he was the unsung hero of our greatest ever triumph. True fans know this but we have to move on, the game is different now, yes Pearson would come in and kick some deriers but that approach is not sustainable, you have to have the passion, but you also need tactics, a degree in understanding false 1 to 11s, finishers not subs, dieticians, Therapists, Dark arts training commonly known as cheating. Its a new game, Nigel Pearson was and always will be brilliant to me but he is not the future.
Why do they call you grumpy fox?

The fact Forest are sorted after 2 days and we are still messing around is crazy
I would imagine that a properly run club would have a contingency plan with a list of potential next managers at any one time.

PSR was introduced in the 2013/14 season. And we were overpaying on wages compared to what the club could normally afford based on its turnover even back then.
We were doing it in the Championship too.
Remember the Sven era?
But even under Pearson - our wage/turnover ratio was incredibly high.
However - the majority of this over-spending has been underwritten by King Power via debt to equity swaps.
Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) will replace PSR in the Premier League next season. I think we’d have struggled to comply with that too!
I stand corrected.

This isn’t correct based on what you were responding to.Even with our title winning side our wages to Turnover levels were in the 90% range - and we hadn’t really begun the ‘selling an asset’ phase either - that came afterwards with Kante, Mahrez, Drinkwater and Maguire as the main ones.
That title winning side also got bumper new contracts - with this being under Top Senior - to start the trend of even higher wages to turnover.
This means in reality, the PSR problems were already baked in prior to Vichai’s death - and then exacerbated by Covid.I'm just saying that we didn't win the title or 'grab a star' by over-stretching with a £25m team. Regards wages, I will take your word for it against turnover but I can't imagine that by PL standards we were over-paying at that point and PSR didn't exist then anyway. What happened afterwards, happened afterwards.

It happened on the way to (or from) the ground
