I'd advise anyone to avoid the sony ericsson spiro like the plague. Decent mobile when it works, but i went through 5 in 3 weeks, all with different faults. Bad firmware on the model, Fones 4 U were excellent on solving it mind!

The Omnia is absolute Wank. A great phone to look at... and it's Shiney.... The Positives stop after that. I've had numerous problems with memory, battery life, the screen freezing, crashing randomly, the touch screen is dire.. clicking links on the net is hopeless, you have to open a new tab every time you do. Stylus broke after a month and it won't update. I've been through 3 Omnia's with recurring problems, the major of which has been the memory stating it's full when it's not. 8Gb standard + an extra 8Gb memory card, and it still thinks it's only got 90Mb to play with. Can't store any music on it what so ever without it spagging (there's no better word...), bluetooth struggles with simple pictures and any downloaded programs I have (endorsed by windows) hate the sodding thing. Gah.. It's WANK. Rant over , I wish you all the best, i've probably had bad luck with them. (also good luck explaining to other people what phone you have, no one.. ever.. has heard of the omnia... i've had to say "It's samsung's attempt and an iphone" for months now)

There was a chant from shrews which i couldn't catch. Kept increasing in number (1, 2, 3) until people skipped a few to 2000 , somthing about burning the forest? Hadn't heard it before, can anyone enlighten?

not sure what it all means but yeah...

All types, blank CD's, Blank DVD's, Commercial DVD's/CD's, DVD's it wrote files to a few months back.. Nothing.

Any reason why a CD/DVD drive would stop recognising disks? (its on a laptop) Will open, and will display in my computer but when I put in a disk no auto-run or any detection, when I click on the drive it says "please place a disk in drive F" I've; Enable/disabled the drive, uninstalled then reinstalled then updated drivers, re-installed windows to factory settings. Nothing works. Any thoughts? Sony Vaio are going to charge me £150+ for a repair so i'm more than likely going to pick up an external drive for £60 and be done with it.

Both these points, Birmingham to Leicester is the worst for them, never had a problem up north even with similar barrier systems in place
