Wymsey Posted 12 November 2016 Posted 12 November 2016 Out of town shopping centres are meant to be beneficial due to the liklihood of there being less traffic congestion/delay getting in and out compared to city centre retail parks. Fosse Park is the other way round; there's often queues from all sides (before 11:30 and during evening rush hour), that spills onto the various busy roads around the retail park. Thurmaston shopping centre is another one, there's only 2 ways out - out towards the main roundabout or the other way via Barkby. Often see the main roundabout congested there due to people trying to get to the retail park and fear of another general non-shopping bound driver clipping your side-mirror trying to find a way out of the cycle). I now appreciate online shopping as well, and would rather pay extra for someone to give me the products I pay for instead of being frustrating in the jams caused by well-known retailers all being in one location.
Soar Fox Posted 12 November 2016 Posted 12 November 2016 I like Fosse park, decent enough shops to get things I need without having to endure having going into town. Can walk around there not having to breathe in the stench of BO and walking past gangs of hoodies etc. Also even better now they have a Greggs inside the food court.
