Micky Adams believes last season's debacle at Wolves has helped him improve as a manager.

Leicester City and Adams return to Molineux tomorrow for the first time since last October when they inexplicably lost 4-3 after leading 3-0 at half-time.

It was a bitter pill to swallow for Adams - but, a year on, he insists that he has become a stronger character as a result.

He said: "If I look back at the game, it is probably the lowest I have felt after a game of football.

"But I, more so than the squad because there are only a few players left who played in the game, have learned lessons and have taken them on board.

"On the day we didn't do the things we should have done and it is my job, as the boss, to make sure it doesn't ever happen again."

Wolves have also experienced a below-par start to their Coca-Cola Championship campaign since being relegated from the Premiership alongside City.

They have yet to register a league victory this term and the knives are already out for manager Dave Jones despite Monday's 4-2 Carling Cup victory at Rochdale.

Adams added: "I had planned to go and watch them but had to turn back because Mansfield was flooded!

"Unfortunately, I had to watch them on television where you don't always see what you need but, having said that, Wolves looked vulnerable in certain areas and classy in others so it's going to be a tough game.

"We would also have liked to start the season better but in many respects the fans have been spoilt because two seasons ago, and that's what they are comparing us with, we started fantastically well and were up there from the off.

"This time, they are experiencing the other side of it and are going to have to suffer with it at the moment until we start clicking into gear.

"But we will because I have got every confidence in my players and we have all been working as hard as we possibly can this week to put things right."

I thought the Boro game was the lowest point IMO - You would think we would have learnt from the Wolves game, but in the Boro away game, and many other's that season, we still surrendered points.

My lowest point would be when we lost 2-nil to Fulham at home, a game which we probably didn't deserve to lose, and after that I gave up any hope of us staying up

i was getting hammered that night after cricket mum rang to tell me the scores at half time ten minutes later i fell down the stairs at the front of the club then my phone rang as i hit the bottom step mum again telling me we where now lvl at 3-3 it was just not my or our day/night as the team we lost to had a wolves fan in their team he said all day dont worry you will we kill them make up for this sad game of cricket (all out for 25) boy was he wrong :wacko:

It wasnt that bad. We was beaten by the team who gave a young player the chance up front - Collins John at 18 years old, and he repayed them.

Yeh but we didn't play that badly and we didn't even surrender a lead or anything, we just lost by a significant margin and it was just well annoying

We were beaten by two shocking referring decisions that day.Not just because Fulham played a kid.We played the same at Old Trafford a couple of days later but didn't take the great chances put on a plate for us.It's all in the past now though, so ther's no point in rehashing it.

The worst game for me was Spurs away,it convinced me that we would never hold onto a lead! Even though it was a great game to watch, for a neutral that is!
