talking_goldfish Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 I suppose you need to compare squads to begin with. Stoke and soton have better PL squads than we do? So far, we have a nett outlay of 40 mill since promotion. Time will tell if that's enough to secure our PL status but it clearly shows that the owners are not going to just throw money at the conundrum. A net profit of £40 million and we're only just entering our second season back in the top flight? Doesn't sound too bad to me! I think the owners are being rather astute, throwing money at a situation hasn't worked so well in the past. We have a strong squad now, so what is the use in breaking it up? We've definitely got a good chance of creeping a little further up the table this season and have cover for each position in case anything should happen. But you are right, time will tell if it's enough although I'm quietly confident it will be.
ImBlue Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 It could have been the best transfer window if we had kept Pearson who knows. Cambiasso would possibly still be here. Nonsense. Cambiasso had already decided to move on, so could be argued it was because of Pearson considering the reports he considered staying once Ranieri was here.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 September 2015 Posted 2 September 2015 I'm impressed by who we brought in, and we have done good business, compared to many clubs. As a passing thought, I was also impressed by West Ham's three pre deadline signings, yesterday.
