Most of our squad are on three years contracts so if we get promoted this season we will be stuck with them for our Premiership campaign and will probably be relegated, but if we get promoted next season we can get rid of most of them keep the good ones and probably have a better chance of staying up.

Obviously i want promotion this season but what do you all think?

If the current lot get us promoted, they'll frickin' well deserve thier chance in the Prem. Witness Sunderland, who like us, have sod all to spend and are persisting with what they've got.

I wouldn't get too worked up about this scenario happening, however.

with 20 mill in their skyrocket thankyou very much!

which will be lucky to cover the money they lose in extra wages, dropped tv money.

the 20 million parachute payment doesnt exactly do anything other than keep them afloat.

you will probably still be better off than them

well they have made a decent start

Are you having a laugh? Forest are doing awful and it scares me to think if we do get relegated we'll be stuck in that shithole aswell

There is no chance of promotionm with this team without some radical changes and I would happily accept mid-table this season so long as we demonstrate that we are developing a cohesive attacking team with goals potential in all directions.

By that I mean:

Buying/borrowing a centre-forward to improve our striker-goals tally.

Ensuring that our team is packed with potential scorers in other positions.

Buying/borrowing a winger who scores a few goals.

Using Sheehan for dead ball kicks and developing proper dead-ball ploys to increase our goals potential.

Establishing a "regular" team and indulging in the minimum of tinkering.

Allowing our ex-Academy players to get the experience they need and attending to any shortcomings on the coaching ground.

Establishing a proper pattern of play based on attacking princples.

Sooner or later we will have to do that to do any good anyway. It might as well be now.
