st albans fox Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 I heard reports at the weekend that ranieri offered the players the chance to change formation but they refused and said they would make the 4 across the middle work. is that true? was it a verifiable quote ? surely it's up to the manager to shape the team and tell them the way he wants them to play? the group are tight and asking them them if they want to change formation means that one of the 'first team' is likely to be dropped. No surprise thay they would want to keep the status quo then? Can you imagine fergie or clough asking their players if they want to change? they would tell them that there needs to be a change, explain why, what the benefits will be and how they will go about doing it. playing four in the middle away is surely an issue at this level. At the King Power we can just about get away with it if we put the effort in. even then, having an alternative set up would give us a plan B. I know ranieri commented after citeh that three in the middle confuses them but it's up to him to make it work.
BMR Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Yes the quote is pretty much true, it shocked me when I heard it as I thought CR was the manager, but obviously not, or he has lost respect of the players which would explain this seasons performances.
Fox92 Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 Lets not talk about formations lads. We'll go to Stoke on Saturday and play exactly the same shite.
Guest Posted 13 December 2016 Posted 13 December 2016 If it is true, how long do they need to make it work ? As I'm sure we've lost more games than won....or maybe I'm mistaken!?!?
