Fox 4 Life Posted 2 October 2005 Share Posted 2 October 2005 After watching him almost every week on sky for Real Madrid, it is a must that we play him on the right, he has been nothing short of immense for Real this year and set up 3 of their 4 goals tonight. I cant stand the way the media but him on a pedestal eveytime we play, we need to support this clearly class player rather than slate him all the time! If you watch him for Real he plays like he has no care in the world and is definetly one of their top 3 players. Just a shame he cannot produce this for England because he is played out of position (where have we seen that before - are Craig and Sven one and the same!?!?) and is under so much pressure from the press and the fans!! Beckham hasn't had a good game for England for 4 years, he seriously lacks the discipline to play on the right wing from going to various England matches over the last few years he wanders off far to easy leaving the whole of the right side open because he is wandering around the left back position and then when we win the ball we have no option for an out ball on the right side because nobody is there!!! if he plays on the right he needs to stay on the right and will hopefully then be effective!! He may not be up to his old standards anymore, but he is still quality. Yeh i agree. Gerrard and Lampard can be anonymous for 2 or 3 games but Beckham seems to get the criticism. Everyone wants a Beckham from 2001, where he could win a game by himself, but it isn't going to happen. When he played as the holding midfielder his long balls where almost all perfect. When he plays on the right, where he should, his crosses are priceless especially if Crouch is going to play. He is a top, top player as is Gerrard, as is Lampard.
