Phil Posted 3 October 2005 Posted 3 October 2005 I owned a set of decks up until this time last year when I got a wee bit in debt and had to sell them. at first there great fun then you'll get a bit bored and frustrated because your not that good but stick to it and it'll become second nature and you'll have alot of fun with them. got a link to the decks your getting?

Head Honcho Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 Drum 'n' Base and trance most likely. I got about 40 trance mixes on one CD(MP3) All Top DJs PVD Oakenfold,Sasha,Digweed etc etc If you want me to send you a copy PM me
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 5 October 2005 Posted 5 October 2005 Hi bud... I play a downtempo/chill/leftfield style and my music is mainly for bars... BUT the gear your getting is good starter stuff and nothing's like playing out live. I say good luck to you and KEEP PRACTISING. When you get good, burn your CDs of your mixes go to venues and keep giving them CDs away - keep going and don't worry about the clubs saying 'no' - some one will say yes. Good luck mate UP THE CITY !!!!
Oli Posted 5 October 2005 Author Posted 5 October 2005 Thanks for the words of advice mate. Much appreciated and I will do what you are saying. Thanks again.
King Kyle lcfc Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 I've got a gig at voodoo bar in town on saturday. It will only be the 3rd time i've done a gig so i'm gonna be well nervous
Teeno Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Drum 'n' Base and trance most likely. Drum n base is nasty mate, stick to Trance
Frenzied Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 If you haven't bought those decks yet you should save a bit more and get some 1210s. They're easily the best on the market, will last for years and are pretty much the standard in clubs and bars. Or just get Abelton Live 5 - it's software that allows you to take the whole djing thing onto a different level - basically live remixing. Think it's only £300 but you'll need to get a pretty decent mixer that's compatible. In a few years decks will be redundant.
