Scow Posted 6 October 2005 Posted 6 October 2005 What a bastard. I live about 6 miles outside of Leicester, and it takes me over an hour to get work in the mornings. I'm getting to know what full time work is all about now - if you're at uni, enjoy it while you can.
Cobbo Posted 6 October 2005 Posted 6 October 2005 Gerra helicopter. Or move to Leicester into your own house and let me live there rent free
Anish Posted 6 October 2005 Posted 6 October 2005 It's a lot worse when the bloody bus drivers drive too slow PS I spend 1 hour 45 mins in travelling to get to uni...each way.
Guest Posted 7 October 2005 Posted 7 October 2005 You could always leave earlier in the morning, as it is quicker then. How's the job going?

Thracian Posted 7 October 2005 Posted 7 October 2005 What a bastard. I live about 6 miles outside of Leicester, and it takes me over an hour to get work in the mornings. I'm getting to know what full time work is all about now - if you're at uni, enjoy it while you can. You wanna live in Nottingham. I've just driven to and from the Queens Medical Centre. What a nightmare. Roads jammed, every conceivable short cut takes in highways that are so littered with road humps it was like being on the Dakar rally and parking is a nightmare. As for the hospital itself ... seven and a half hours (plus the 3-hour journey to and fro) for a total of 40 minutes of medical tests and specialist consultation. Staff are reputedly stretched to breaking point but what with the seemingly endless inaction, the lack of communication and other things, the whole 10-and-a-half hour experience was utterly morale-sapping - and I wasn't the patient. The waiting would be more bearable if you couldn't hear the depressing prognoses being issued to the patients behind the next curtain. But, for many it is the last hope they've got and all youngsters should visit such a place. Why? Well, although effforts are made to make the place fairly relaxed and undaunting, the only genuinely good thing about it was that it served as the perfect motivator for trying to keep yourself in decent health for as long as possible.
Scow Posted 7 October 2005 Author Posted 7 October 2005 How's the job going? I've only been training this week, but it's been really enjoyable. Early starts have totally transformed my bodyclock though!
