I don't think he is harsh at all.

From the little we've seen of Mendy then he won't be replacing Drinkwater or Ndidi even at his best.

Slimani can't get ahead of Vardy and can't play No 10.

Musa has been just garbage.

That's about £60m spent there and not one of them improves the first team and between them add up to an absolute disaster of a summer transfer. They're probably costing us  about £9m in wages per season as well so that's £70m and counting.

I see it differently, but again it's opinions, I would rather have slim in Okazaki place, Okazaki is awful, and couldn't score to save his life, and the little we have seen of slim, his goals and assists are quite good for amount of time he's played.

Drinkwater has been awful for a while, which I think has kind of been agreed on here, some thinking it's down to tiredness/ carrying an injury, either way mendy's pass completion rate at Monaco was around the 90 percent mark, and again the little we have seen, potentially he could step in for Danny, to rest, or when out of form, but we have no real quality back up, as king isn't good enough, amartey is still learning, and Mendy has pretty much been injured since arsenal at home.

So for me, to write players off as shite, or a waste of money, when they have been unlucky with injuries is a bit harsh for me.

We are wasting money on players hanging around who aren't good enough, even as back up, like king, musa, Okazaki, wasyl etc.

What the season did show we haven't got strength in depth.

That how I see it anyway
