Macca4lcfc Posted 4 September 2004 Posted 4 September 2004 Did any of you loyal supporters go down and watch the academy today?
andy_croydz Posted 4 September 2004 Posted 4 September 2004 no coz we was playin footy on victoria park
Wellman Posted 4 September 2004 Posted 4 September 2004 10 men or something, sorta saw it on lcfc.com
Mark Posted 4 September 2004 Posted 4 September 2004 Another goal from super James Graham Seems as though they were winning comfortably till Lycett got sent off
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 I went down to watch and I was hugely impressed, I thought we were extremely unlucky. It's the first time i've been down for about 8 or 9 months and obviously there were alot of new faces in the team. I thought Levi Porter was immense and bollocks to what people say about his size. He's the next Shaun Wright-Phillips, he is honestly as skillful as he is. Comfortable on either wing and has that confidence about him to beat a man, if it takes us playing a 5ft 3inch 17 year old on our wing to beat a man then so be it, it has to be done. This geezer is the business, so was Wesolowski and James Graham. They all looked so naturally talented and if I didn't know better i'd say the future looks bright for Leicester, but Micky will have something to say about that.

I was impressed with Wesolowski at the Norwich reserve game. He seems to want to take players on, something we don't seem to have in our senior squad. I'm hoping to get to a few academy games this season and see how these player's are developing. It will be better than watching the first team. :w00t:
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 Wesolowski is well built aswell, which might prevent a player of his age if they are too small and skinny but he's built like a brick shit house. If he doesn't make it i'll bear my ass in burtons window.
Scow Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 How about Dodds? Did he impress alongside Graham?
Ric Flair Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 How about Dodds? Did he impress alongside Graham? 17333[/snapback] Don't think Dodds was playing mate, unless I was blind! I think Doddsy is injured at the minute, Gondal played alongside Graham by the look of things.
Mark Posted 6 September 2004 Posted 6 September 2004 Dodds got injured in the first academy game against Newcastle

How's he doing? We hardly hear anything about him anymore, when only a year ago he was hyped up to be the next Jari Litmanen.
