When was the last time Leicester City beat the season's eventual League Champions, in a league match?

So for example, not last season (Man City).

After hitting the books to do some research I'm going for a 3-2 home win vs eventual champs Liverpool in 1972/73.

The classic Toshack 2 Weller 3 game under the lights at filbo with Leicester playing in white. 2-0 down at HT but a second half hat-trick from the King sent the Scousers home pointless. :scarf:

Correct.    46 seasons ago!

It sounds incredible, although if you think about it ... many of the champions only lose 3 or 4 games in a season.   So maybe not quite as surprising?

To be pedantic, I think it was actually 2-2 at half time.   But yes, we came back from 2-0 to win 3-2 with a Keith Weller hat-trick.

Fair enough. Memory waning somewhat. My version sounds better though! lol
