I understand the "whys" (modern, lack of oval grounds in NSW/Q'land/other countries, looking for innovative ways to grow the game), but it seems like it played like a training drill with a lot of bells and whistles attached. I wasn't about to get up at strange hours to watch it unless the initial reviews were that it really was up to the hype AFL House put on it. :(
