I don't get why Southampton would agree to bring forward their match at Leicester just a few days before an FA Cup semi-final.

Same with Spurs going to Brighton (another game brought forward)  Man City should have been at home to Brighton last Saturday, so why don't they play the Seagulls on April 18 instead of Spurs?

This scheduling of re-arranged fixtures is a farce by the Premier League. Why are Chelsea, Southampton, Spurs and Utd playing days before a big FA Cup semi.

Spurs have an advantage over Utd by playing a day earlier.

Because there is a world cup on and the season is finishing early?

But there are other weeks before the end of the season, two midweeks in May. I guess the PL avoid any weeks where CL/EL are scheduled to avoid clashing with UEFA over getting permission to play games on the same night.
