City Fan Posted 7 September 2004 Posted 7 September 2004 Have just been reading this article on TeamTalk about Coventry having a bid for Mackay accepted, and at the bottom it said this: Coventry have revealed they are also hoping to sign a striker before they resume league action this coming weekend. The forward has been revealed as Birmingham's Stern John, who Leeds have also had a bid accepted for. I think Stern John would be a fantastic signing because he can actually score goals and is a good team player. If leeds can afford him, so can we!!

We're supposed to have spent all that, but we've just scraped a loan deal for Harper. Micky did say he had the backing of the board if he wanted to bring a signing in, but 250k is far too much. Who would want to buy Blake or Benjamin?
