spirefox Posted 12 September 2004 Posted 12 September 2004 Seeing how the confidence grew as the game went on yesterday the importance of Tuesdays game is massive.Sheff U will be far better than Rotherham who look doomed. We still seem to have no leader despite Keown and Dublin playing.Harper looked very impressive though
Highland Posted 12 September 2004 Posted 12 September 2004 I don't think there is all that much between any of the teams in this eague at the moment, may be different as the season moves on.nobody is imposing themselves allthat much,Wigan are the only unbeaten side and at the moment ,on their day any team can beat any other at the moment IMO.Plymouth were starting well but they got beat by QPR yesterday.A run of 3 wins sees you fly up the League at the moment.

(As well as being good of course)

Whereas we, as fans put lots of pressure on our team because we expect to get promotion(not as much now). Unlike most Wigan fans.

They have a top goalkeeper too. Settled is the key word. SETTLED Micky.
Scow Posted 12 September 2004 Posted 12 September 2004 Sheffield United will be crucial. It's about time that we field the same line up for two consecutive games to maintain some sort of consistency. Granted, we weren't very impessive yesterday, but we did look better in the second half, and hopefully that can continue on Tuesday. Rotherham are a poor side though, so I'm not expecting much against Sheffield United. Saying that, I'm not too fearful of a strike partnership that contains the likes of Andy Gray and Ashley Ward.
spirefox Posted 12 September 2004 Author Posted 12 September 2004 Most important is to keep same defence especially as Heath wasn' even on the bench
Anish Posted 12 September 2004 Posted 12 September 2004 Most important is to keep same defence especially as Heath wasn' even on the bench 18451[/snapback] I wouldn't mind Jordan Stewart being replaced by Tiatto though (if fit obviously)! Yes where was Heath yesterday? Not even on the bench, and there were no other defenders on the bench either. Canero should have been there just as a precaution.

I Would like to hear what excuse Micky has for that, pathetic.

And badly.
Cat Burger Posted 12 September 2004 Posted 12 September 2004 Yes, I really feel for Canero Anish, he's done absolutely nothing wrong and been completely dropped. I saw an interview with him on L.C World and he asked not to be called up for Scotland to concentrate on his club career. He hasn't got that much confidence either, you can tell, if anyone else has seen it?
spirefox Posted 12 September 2004 Author Posted 12 September 2004 Not seen that interview but he certainly plays without confidence,Harper looks a much better bet
Ash Posted 12 September 2004 Posted 12 September 2004 Yer if we are still looking to win promotion then we NEED to beat Sheff Utd !
