England finally reach a major final, but lose to France at Wembley. Scotland finally qualify for Euro 2024, going out in the last 16. 3. 2026 is planned to be the last World Cup with a host nation, with future World Cups hosted instead by confederations after the format was deemed a success during Euro 2020. However the AFC 2030 tournament is a disaster, beset by poor attendances and travel chaos. 4. A big club gets relegated, possibly Everton or Arsenal, after years of stagnation. Crippling costs mean that they struggle to return. Arsenal Fan TV wins Best Comedy at the NTA after a 2-0 home defeat to Forest Green Rovers. 5.
