He liked us so much that he sold his 1999 League Cup final player ticket allocation to the London Black Market where they would obviously end up with Tottenham fans. Enjoyed having a whole row of them sat behind me at Wembley.

Also managed to spot a 14 year old me in the crowd at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

I was only 8/9 years when Heskey started playing for us so I didn’t appreciate how good he was. But looking back at the video he was superb for us, strong, quick, unselfish, wins flick on’s. 
 

Imagine him in his prime now partnered with Vardy.
