Just rewatched both games over the weekend with two friends of other teams.

We all felt that for 70 minutes the Bournemouth came was by far the better game .

Especially for us and only by some freak happenings did Bournemouth win.

Certainly not as bad as being made out by most.

and Sheffield United game not as good as people making out.

intresting too re watch with neutral people.

we felt we should have finished Bournemouth off.

And that’s why the disproportionate reaction.

sheffield game was nowhere the quality of the latter game.

they had see the comments on social media and couldn’t believe the over reaction.

of our prima Donna fans.

Bournemouth we bossed. I can't remember the last time we were that dominant in a half. At HT there was no way I thought Bournemouth were gonna score. But weird things happen. A couple of mistakes and we're suddenly losing, giving them the confidence. It was a disgraceful performance, no doubt about it, but I agree people overreacted. The comparisons of feeling as dejected as other big games in our history (cup finals and play off semi finals) were strange. Also people slated Rodgers for taking Kelechi off but he missed a fair few chances. Bringing Praet on was wrong though, it should have been a more attacking change/like for like with Kelechi.

Sheffield United we controlled. Youri was superb especially. I expected a bit more from them tbf but like I felt like I was the only optimistic poster in the pre-match thread. People were speaking as if we were set to play Barcelona. But we have been inconstant since December so I sort of understand why people are cautious. Anyway, we had plenty of chances and if Barnes was more composed and a better finisher then we'd have won by 3 goals easily. Wilder was correct in saying they didn't turn up (although I do feel that shouldn't take away from our performance).

I'm not one of these overly optimistic fans as people can probably tell by my posts but I do think when you watch a side regular, like we do on here, you become more critical. When in reality a lot of sides go through inconsistent patches and have off days. It's like when people complain about squad depth but you remove three important players from any side around us and you'll soon notice their first 11 isn't as good.

Anyway, up the Foxes, how we need another big 0-1 win today in North London...

It was the reaction after we conceded against Bournemouth that caused the fans to be furious. Not the 65 mins beforehand. Football is played over 90 minutes, not 65. I’d say over 90 minutes the Sheff Utd game was far superior to the Bournemouth game, as would any sane person.

Let us never speak of the Bournemouth game again...!

Bournemouth played against Sheff Utd in August and February this season.

Personally I'm not that keen on watching reruns of matches between other teams unless they are classics.
