I'm back again, my Bose are wearing well the hinges where they fold are and the warranty has now ran out. Now I don't know whether to try Bose again? Most people are recommending to try Sony out because their new headphones are meant to be the best for noise cancelling but they're like 400+. Any recommendations mate?

These are supposed to be a bit more bass heavy… If you like that kind of thing Sony WH-1000XM4…. Don’t bother with the Sony WH-1000XM5 (supposed to be worse)…. There is also another newer version (not sure on that?)

you can pick up Sony WH-1000XM4 for £149, so a bit more reasonable!  And it’s always nice to try something new!

I listen to a lot of audio books and podcasts as well as music on my Bose, so wanted something a bit gentler and clearer…

Thank you mate, really bizarre as I was looking at the XM4s last night chucked them in the comparison site I use to compare headphones and XM4s and the newest ones the XM6s scored the exact same. XM6s are retailing at 400 so XM4s definitely be the way I go, score the same and near on 250 quid more for the XM6s. I don't think there's much difference between the 2. Thank you very much for the recommendation really appreciate it.

Thank you, think I'm gonna look at getting the XM4s then. Cause if noise cancelling is good then I'm sold.

You won’t get better than the link I gave you at £149!

sort of tempted myself but my Bose are still going strong and I punish them!

I really appreciate it mate, can't really complain at that price. I mean it wouldn't hurt as a spare pair if you are tempted.
