Thracian Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Things Levein has gotta do to improve our attack: a) Get a specialist striker and involve Chambers as a substitute. b) Get a specialist free kick taker. Work on free-kick ploys. c) Develop far more pasing and moving. d) Link defence/attack more constructively, especially from full-back.. e) Develop our front post play. We farely have anyone go near post when we attack although Hume nearly scored from there today in his brief cameo. f) Make far more use of Ryan Smith (using Hume as a sort of creative partner might help cos these two are our best footballers) g) Develop a shoot on sight strategy h) Select the whole team according to their specialist ability and their additional contribution in shooting/making goals.
Bert Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 All excellent points Thracian, the bad thing about CL is he was a defender in his time, so thats where his priority will be in defending. It would be nice to get a decent Coach in that helps our strikers to score, like Liverpool had Rush, just as an example.

Bert Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Gary Lineker? This would be really good, but i'm pretty sure he has other commitments that he is contracted to that may make him unable to do this, and/or im certain he has said he doesn't want to be involved in the coaching/manager aspect of the game. Someone correct me if im wrong
davieG Posted 5 November 2005 Posted 5 November 2005 Just because someone scored a lot of goals and comes from Leicester doesn't automatically make him a good coach. I can't understand why people keep suggesting explayers who have demonstrated no ability to manage or coach to come back to Leicester and carry out those tasks.
