Wilf at CB and Soumare at CM makes us much more dynamic as an attacking outfit too, as it's an extra player who can protect the ball well and make those line breaking passes which is not Wilf's strong suit.

 

Whether or not that's the approach we should be taking v Man City is up for debate, but I feel much more comfortable dropping Wilf back this season than I did last.

 

I'm yet to see anything of Benkovic that has particularly convinced me and it's a massive ask to chuck Nelson in at this stage in his development.

I really don't think Wilf is up to much as a centre half to be honest in fact at times he looks a liability and likely to give a penalty away. Just because your excellent in one position doesn't mean you'll be good in another.

 

None of us have seen much of Benkovic but he Was highly rated by quite a few people at one time until injuries took their toll. Wolves is our first important match not this one so better to find out now surely? Can we really not protect one player? It would be nice to see bit more ambition from Rodgers for once tbh.
