Just watching Villa v Norwich with Smith managing Norwich only five weeks after being Villa’s manager. I wonder if he ever got caught up in the moment and shouted encouragement to the Villa players before reminding himself what has happened since?

what if he did that knowing what we was doing - shouting to Tyrone Mings 'push up' to create space for Norwich in behind, in the hope that Mings gets confused and does it.

I try that when I play football by shouting the opponents names. It works quite often.
