Looking for a game recommendation

so currently I’m in the mood for something historical, mainly ww2 focused. Looking for something strategy based, like the total war games. Failing that anything strategic. Off for a week and want something to occupy my spare time

I'd look at the above (HOI4) for a very easy way to sink a lot of hours into something, but that's more of a management strategy game where if you want something more involved in a battle, Men Of War Assault Squad 2 still holds up as a pretty good game.

Knocking on a bit now, but Company of Heroes 1 and 2 are great RTS types which are worth playing.
