Following our recent press release Richard Stearman was named for the first time on the subs bench for the first team for the match against Burnley today.

Excellent stuff. Looks like Adams is actually looking through the youngsters by bringing Tommy and Stearman to the bench. I havnt seen this Stearman but ive heard good things about him. Hopefully he will progress and become a first teamer, he does look like another Heath though, lanky and no muscle, he will need strength to play at the back for us.

Glad to see the post yesterday was taken in the spirit it was meant (i.e. congrats to Stearman).

Most other message boards seem to have a go at us about the post which baffled us - its great a team of fans (many on here) have backed a player of great potential with their own cash.

It's nice to see a local lad of such potential being in contention for a first team place. Let's hope he continues being on the bench for the first team in forthcoming matches. I'll be watching the reserves on Wednesday, so I'll give you all a update on how he's doing.
