There were 2 people in front of me at the turnstile crying, speaking to everyone possible around them "they give you a free drink but you can't take it in"

Some people are so ungrateful. 

 

The football however...

We wasn't allowed to take our soft drinks in. Had a 500ml bottle of pop each unopened. Never had a problem before and not given a reason why.

 

Told we can take a 500ml bottle of water in though which we didn't have 😂

Yeah, that made no sense.  We had a 500ml bottle of Coke and a 500ml bottle of fizzy water,  couldn't take the Coke in but the carbonated water was fine...

Pretty much sums up perfectly how I felt. Never usually searched entering the home end, but yesterday patted down and metal scannered before being allowed it, felt like an away day more than anything
