Elon Musk is a walking advert for why the world needs to come up with some way of curtailing the ability of anyone to accumulate more than say $100m. This is a great deal of money and would not IMO disincentivise budding entrepreneurs from innovation, but would prevent the blatant abuse of unelected power, including corrupt conflicts of interest, that we are currently seeing.

 

It’s probably already too late as these narcissists already have so much control over the levers of power that it would take some sort of revolution, which as well as being unlikely, comes with its own set of problems.
