Yeah I get he won it with an unfancied side, but Swedish league level isn't too much to get excited about. Quality players have come out of Sweden over the years but most never stay, they quickly move on soon as massive european club comes in for them.

I think some manager's can be talked well into a job, especially managers with good agents. Watching Potters football based at his time at both Brighton and Swansea was the football actually that amazing or was it just basic standard. I'm not suggesting he's bad manager in anyway, he's certainly better than some, but yet to be seriously convinced.

What he’s done, and is committed to, is developing a club from bottom to top, and providing the best mental environment for players.

It’s not about honours with Potter, it’s about development strength - the one thing Pearson delivered at Leicester. It’s why I always argued he’d be the best option (given the support).

I think it’s a testament to his commitment that he turned KP down twice because they failed to convince him they shared his vision. He doesn’t need the work, he’s financially comfortable, he wants the quest. My big takeaway from the interview is that KP clearly don’t want it or aren’t willing to commit to change.

Where he's very different from a lot of football managers is that he strikes me as a more rounded bloke. Most likely because he fell out of football for a bit after his professional career.

He lost both his parents recently and he's also very supportive of his wife's own career too.
