Ricey Posted 20 January 2006 Author Posted 20 January 2006 26th December 2005 - St Andrews - Premiership Birmingham City 0-0 Leicester City A very even game with very few incidents, Muzzy Izzet was taken off with a hamstring injury. 28th December 2005 - Filbert Street - Premiership Leicester City 0-1 Newcastle United Alan Shearer grabbed the only goal of the game in a very quiet game with few chances. Emile Heskey added to our injury worries. Heskey, Savage, Collymore, Gower, Lennon and Keller are all out for the Spurs game. 2nd January 2006 - White Hart Lane - Premiership Tottenham Hotspur 6-3 Leicester City We saw in the new year in dramatic yet disapointing style in a game that will go down as a Premiership classic. Tottenham strolled to an easy 2-0 lead but just after the 30 min mark something unexpected happened, Paul Dickov scored a quick-fire hat-trick to send us into the lead and White Hart Lane into shock. However an Davids equaliser got things back to normal and in the second half Spurs tore us to pieces scoring 3 goals. Not a happy debut for James Wesolowski who came in due to injuries. Current Premiership Table Current Player Stats Season-so-far Review It's been a good first half of the season overall, we were heavily tipped to be relegated yet we sit in mid-table. Our form has slipped recently which is a worry but I'll look to bring in a few more recruits in the transfer window. The 'legendary' players are all doing well with the exception of Collymore who rarely shows the brilliance he is capable of. Muzzy Izzet is our star man, he runs the midfield with the help of Lennon and Theo. Hopefully our performances will start to pick up again so we aren't dragged into a relegation battle.
