King Power hate bad publicity. Their whole operation depends on spin, smiley faces, bobble hats and harmony. The reason that all the social media pages pre- and post-game show fans wearing club approved merch and not the ones wearing Stone Island looking like extras from The Football Factory is image. It paints a picture. 

 

The only time we hear "communication" from the club is positive news - a new signing, happy birthday, we 'take our place' in the Championship - or they're responding to a financial report. The last time we heard from Top? His best mate had chants against him that generated some negative reports - so he bleats about coming together and communicating. Since then? Nothing. He's vanished again.

 

Empty seats, talks of boycotts, fan unrest all works. Boycotts are a peaceful form of protest without smashing up your own gaff. Look at the Sheff Wednesday one down here on the first day. All over the news. Got them all sorts of support and their despot owner is now gone.

Shocking drive home mind, can’t help point out similarities between WBA and Boro games though, weather shocking, 8pm midweek evening kick off, live on Sky……and the lowest attendance I can remember…..
