I've seen all sorts of nonsense about this all season and it's simple, it's freedom of speech. Me personally, I just can't be arsed booing another set of players because honestly we asked for a squad reset and we got 95% of the problems shipped out. If there's an issue with the manager - results-wise, not just with him being a bit of a cock - the club will act because if we're nowhere near promotion the financial impact is huge. I don't see any point, beyond my moans here and online, wasting energy booing or barracking because I have very little energy for this level of football anyway. The standard is dross, the atmosphere is somehow even worse and booing will just make me regret renewing even more. Only thing I would say is some of the Watson stick this weekend has been well OTT. He's a young kid and if he's not good enough, fine but we've seen this movie before. Maybe he doesn't fit in with Martin-ball or the move is too much or whatever but he's had a handful of mainly sub appearances. Let's maybe focus on some of the real issues rather than a struggling kid. There's plenty of time for him to come good.

No-one moaned about Seagrave when we were winning the FA Cup or getting promoted under Enzo. It's a convenient excuse for people who can't add up our real issues - financial strategy, shocking recruitment and bizarre managerial appointments allied to a void of leadership. I think people either have recency bias or short term memories. There were a fair few games last season where Stolarcyk was utter gash too. He's certainly not any better than McCarthy. McCarthy is a decent stopper, crap with his feet but he's in his 30s. Pulls off a worldie today under the bar but possibly two of theirs are his fault. 30+ reserve keeper behind a Russell Martin defence.

You can look at it from the view that it gives him 2 or 3 weeks of solid training ground work with a lot of new players, an almost pre-season type settling in spell. He can't then use the excuse about bedding in. It also gives most of the squad 2 weeks break ( as if the 2 months they just had wasn't enough) and he can put the fatigue excuse in the bin too. All in all, even if he keeps his job after the window, the excuses are null and void. We also avoid the shame of losing to bottom of the table Wigan.

We had better players a couple of years ago but under this manager it's been woeful. Also this is WSL2, in women's football terms it's virtually non-league. The WSL has gone the same way. 4 teams (sponging off their male counterparts for funding) win everything and the rest just exist. Spurs v West Ham in the WSL is as dull as any mid-table Prem game to be fair. They'll struggle to grow it any further than it is unless they make the teams survive as their own stand alone clubs and introduce a bit more competitiveness into the thing.

I get the doubts but he's not even played a full 90 yet. We've been so used to Daka and Ayew being terrible we need to give this guy a chance and hope he's not another another Carranza. My biggest worry is that his touch doesn't look great either running with it or holding it up but it's a new country, new type of play and he needs time and fitness.

This is always going to be the case. If you bring in that many they're not all going to be hits. They're not always going to be sellable. All clubs are the same.
