Hard to say, does King Power use it for tax purposes I wonder. Typically when they have hosted games away from King Power such as cup matches at Burton or Notts County, crowds are down to 200/250. I’d expect 400/500 max at Seagrave which I think is capacity? If they were to go back up, they would need to move back but it’s a viable option for WSL2

I think capacity at Seagrave is 500 as that's what they made available for Northampton.

They had 519 watch them lose to Palace in the league cup last season.

With popular players on their way out (more to leave soon) the costs associated with playiing at the stadium, the lack of Lioness opposition which is always a big crowd puller to see Russo, Toone etc and the expected lower numbers in both home and away support, I think Seagrave would be the perfect fit.

Pretty sure the minimum allowed capacity for a stadium is somewhere north of 1000, way more than seagrave anyway, cup games would be allowed I'd have thought though

Genuinely don't understand the use of King Power going forward, unless as above it's for other reasons. They must have lost money week in week out last season with the low crowd numbers. And totally agree that there really isn't going to be any more appetite to watch them play WSL2 sides, with no 'star' players. I can't imagine it's great for the players too playing in a big stadium that's 5% full with no atmosphere whatsoever.

Seagrave would be the more cost effective option, but then i guess public transport to there is non-existent unless they provided a shuttle bus from city centre or king power.

Does anyone know if kick-off times are staying the same this season? As that had a massive impact on numbers with clash with grassroots Sunday football.

Last season WSL2 kick-offs were generally 2pm on Sundays, but there was a bit of variety.  The games were only on YouTube so there was no broadcaster dictating noon kick-offs.

You are right, I forgot about this, it’s a minimum 1500 for WSL2 so Seagrave would be a non starter.
