Hullfox Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 I can't understand it. The bloke achieves promotion with inherited players, puts together a squad that already look like relegation certainties and they give him a new contract. Loyalty to a manager? They'll never learn.
Ash Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 Palace board offered it him , to stop him going to another club ! But what do contracts mean in todays game of football ? Nothing

Could use a bit of that type of spirit at filbo way!
Hullfox Posted 28 September 2004 Author Posted 28 September 2004 Iain* 22592[/snapback] I think you'll find that when he's round our house he's plain Ian.
Anish Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 I don't blame Palace for giving him a new contract. He achieved the (almost) impossible there last season and exceeded everyone's expectations - it's good to see him rewarded. But 4 years is a ridiculously long time in football - as we have seen here at LCFC.
