SystonFox Posted 2 January 2006 Posted 2 January 2006 anyone know anything about the new "all weather" sports pitch they have at Rushey Mead Community College, i'd like to know is it a full size pitch and what surface is it? astroturf with sand? astrograss with those black bits in? and do they rent a half pitch out? cheers for any help.

SystonFox Posted 2 January 2006 Author Posted 2 January 2006 at work and i pretty much cant be arsed. playing t here on thursday nights now saffron lane sports pitch is being demolished. quite excited as havent played footy in 3 weeks and look forward to it.

SystonFox Posted 2 January 2006 Author Posted 2 January 2006 3 guesses. ofcourse it will be houses / flats. closed on xmas eve we played our last game the thurs b4. my dad scored the last ever goal there, the ball was whipped in and he lashed a foot at in, the ball rasped into the top corner....of his own net . he'd been going for 14 yrs! think they're keeping the athletics track etc though

My mum is the headteacher of the school, I'll go find out about it! But then again my mum knows bugger all about sports stuff so she might be hopeless. My brother also works there so he'll probably know more!

Are you sure it's the school and not somewhere else in Rushey Mead. I used to work there myself for a short period and although it was 8 months ago, I never heard anything about it. I can try and find out more from my brother though...sorry for the lack of info.
SystonFox Posted 3 January 2006 Author Posted 3 January 2006 im sure its that one dude cant think of where else locally there is too play. beaumont leys is a shithole and is too small pitches, st margarets is old and too expensive anyway, goals is too far away and far too expensive. same goes for lough uni, the only other is mountsorrel gym astroturf but it aint that one cos i suggested that. any info would be great! if not best be havin words with me dad make sure i know where im going.
