Thoughts and feelings!?

Tommy Wright is better than you like to think. He just needs a run in the team which he isnt going to get.

Along with him Richard Stearman and Stephen Dawson have tremendous potential, whether Micky will do anything about it is something else though. They are the 3 that are ready, there are many more coming through but theres no point typing a word more about them cause you know best.

James Wesolowski.

Of course I do.

What i'm saying petrescu is this club has has long long history of not progressing youth players. It's not just been Micky Adams who hasn't played youth. I hope the new boys get their chance, but history is very much against them doing anything!! Players like Paul Bedder and Sam McMahon played brilliantly for the reserves but were not good enough to progress. Your only basing your views on reserve team games which can obviously be deseaving, like they were for Bedder et al.

We have one of the best youth team in the country last season. You dont understand how much it improved with Alan Hill here. Now all that youth team has progressed into the reserves, some just need a chance and they could become a permanent first team player just like that - Dawson. If you saw him in the first team you'd be loving it, seeing a hard working player giving his all in the middle again. You'd be thinking, "i cant believe this looks like i was wrong for once he should of been given a go i can see it now" But will you see it? I dont think so with Mr Arrogance in charge.

If a player plays well in the reserve team its simple, they get given a chance at the higher level. You dont keep ignoring them like Adams is doing. It works like this at every other club, why must we be an exception. Its unfair on all the hard work certain players are putting in week in week out, and to see shite like Gemmill and Blake be brought in to play ahead of them is the biggest kick in the teeth i can imagine.

Absolutely spot on there Petrescu! I'm sorry Babylon but your argument about our knack for never producing many decent homegorwn players would be of some use if you had bothered to look at how well our academy has developed over the past few years. Now, the law of avergaes state mate that if you have one of the best academy sides in the region/nation then one or two of these players will be good enough to make it, especially at poxy championship level. Look at Man United's youth team back in the early 90's only one player from that team never made it to championship or premiership level!! Now I know that doesn't mean every youth team that has done well in recent years is automatically blessed with gifted players that will make it as youth football is alot different to professional football, but the facts are there. Yes, we have had an awful success from our academy in the 90's, but times are changing now thanks to Alan Hill and co.

Tomi Petrescu and James Wesolowski were snapped up under the noses of some massive teams around europe and I mean massive teams. I know for a fact Juventus wanted Petrescu and Man United wanted Wesolowski, but it was Alan Hill and his respect he commands throughout the game that bought these players here and correct me if i'm wrong but we agreed to going on a pre-season tour to finland for about 3 or 4 years running as a deal for us getting Petrescu because he was that highly rated.

I have always been a fan of Micky's but this season has been a step too far and questions have got to be asked and answered. Micky has already quoted that Richard Stearman is the best youngster he has worked with in a long, long time!! I do think he will get his chance this season and I have a sneaky feeling it will be on monday along with Wright, but Micky does need to take a chance and start blending our promising youngsters in with the experienced players we have because otherwise we will just go round and round in circles by signing and releasing another shit load of players next season. There's no continuity at this club, no time to gel and unite as a team over time.

Now if this takes a few years to build the foundations of a successful club then so be it, because the route Adams appears to be taking isn't working anymore and as there seems to be no chance of him leaving he needs to learn from his mistakes and lay some foundations for this club otherwise we have no hope.

I have had enough of Micky.Yes nice bloke and all that but when i think how we did in the prem what with substitutions in the 91st min that either helped us lose or draw (if it aint broke dont fix it), Balls knocking out the bulbs in the flood lights, bad dicipline again, and those "were where everyone expects us to be" after match interviews. No not for me ,time to go for a brighter future, change needed
