Anish Posted 5 October 2004 Posted 5 October 2004 I dunno, but I wouldn't be surprised if MA didn't think he was ready for the step up to the first team. After all, we did give Keown a free transfer because of Stearman's 'emergence'. He should definitely have been in the sqaud, just to bring him in and give him some experience.

Cat Burger Posted 6 October 2004 Posted 6 October 2004 I was sitting near where the young lads sat on Monday, I noticed some of them Butcher, Dawson, Stearman e.t.c Worth pointing out that the only one still there after half time was Stearman. I also saw Muzzy in the first half (only the first half)

Jonbluefox9 Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 Maybe Micky wanted him to start in the reserves rather then sit on the bench and possibly get only a small part of the Preston game if any. I did notice he warmed up with the other subs on Saturday eventhough he wasn't on the bench. Just adding to his experience.
Buzzell Posted 8 October 2004 Posted 8 October 2004 I just think MA is being an arse and is trying to ruin our club. He will never bring youngsters into the 1st team and the only reason he has brought Tommy Wright into the team is because he knows we want him sacked and we want wright to play so he thinks playing him will help him not getting the sack! Stearman sounds really good, as what ive been told by some people, so I think with him having a great pre-season and having played awesome in the last reserve match must mean a chance in the team, surely!
