shrood Posted 5 October 2004 Posted 5 October 2004 after last night can certain people now finally admit hes not the superstar messiah that you all desperatly want him to be?!? yeah yeah hes young and hasnt been given enough games yet but surely you can see currently hes no better than other striker we've got (apart from blake obviously) and he definitley aint gunna be the saviour of this season....

I agree he didnt play well at all but maybe that has something to do with him wanting to do something so much for the club he loves, because he knows realistically he wont be getting another chance in the near future, it just didnt work for him. Last night was a one off for him starting the game. People seemed happy giving Connolly, Dublin, Benjamin more and more chances. Dont single him out.

No matter how correct you were.

Anish Posted 5 October 2004 Posted 5 October 2004 Petrescu might not given Blake a chance, but MA certainly has - and Blake has probably already got more football action under him this season than Tommy Wright ever will (under Adams). I wasn't at the game so I can't really comment about Wright's performance, but if you're going to dismiss Wright as rubbish after 1 start then you may as well say they are all hopeless too.
shrood Posted 5 October 2004 Author Posted 5 October 2004 hasnt been given enough games yet read it boys, im not by any means judging him on this performance but anyone who was at the game (and those of you who are werent he really was on about the same level as blake, if that) can see he doesnt yet have the skill to really produce anything special this season, which is what im saying, im making no judgement about what he can do in a couple of years time..... and yeah he may well improve over the season and no doubt become a far preferable choice to blake and mabye dublin as well but theres not gunna be any rooney-style wonderkid who knocks them in at a really consistent rate and turns our season around which was what some people on this board seem to think...
Macca4lcfc Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 Thats what I was thinking, spent more time on the floor than on his feet!
bluefox Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 Thats what I was thinking, spent more time on the floor than on his feet! 24789[/snapback] heskey in disguise
rotherhamfox Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 I do think Wright should be given more of a chance, but he certainly aint a world beater, better than Blake though.
Ash Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 He can be a good player , but he has to be given a chance ! Hes not going to as good as Rooney or Owen was but a good player me thinks

We just wanted to be able to see him instead of seeing Blake and Dublin under perform. And i still want to see him given more games but it isnt very likely now.
Oli Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 He aint amazing, but he is leicester through and through and thats what we need!
Buzzell Posted 7 October 2004 Posted 7 October 2004 He's good enough for Leicester, lets put it that way
