I dont like what he did for us during the last year but i have more respect for him now after today.
Wellman Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 thanks for the good times you gave our club looks like he won't be going far though.....http://coventrycity.rivals.net/default.asp...=2&stid=8362276
TrickyTrev Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 I have respect for him and am glad he didn't wait for a pay day. I wish him lots of good luck in whatever he does in the future.
Guest Daniel Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 Good riddance, hope nothing goes right for you in the future. Thank you for taking us up with another managers squad. Thanks for also signing about 30 old men in your time here and taking us down. Thanks for never playing young players. Thanks for sacking one of the unbeatable defenders. Thanks for turning this club into a shit footballing side and leaving us 12th in the championship. Thanks for the shit discipline you gave to the club. Oh and thank you micky. Glad to see the back of you.
Oli Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 What shall i thank him for? Bringing the hoof to Filbert Way? He done well first season, but then he got sussed out by the teams and he couldnt do anything else. Except sign shit old players. Well done Micky!!
TrickyTrev Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 Brought the Hoof to the club? We haven't had a 'footballing' manager at Leicestwer since Brain Little. <_< Our club could easily be in a worse situation than we are now, if we had not gone up two years a go I think there is a very real possibility that we would have folded. He has always doen the best for our club on a tight budget, and in relaity he had to sign those old players last season, he had no choice if we were to compete in that division with that small a budget. Stop being so reactionary and accept that whilst things went stale at the end and the football was never pretty, he did a good job for us and was always very honourable.

Guest Daniel Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 So we won the Coca Cola cup and Worthington Cup playing hoof? Talking bollocks.
TrickyTrev Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 So we won the Coca Cola cup and Worthington Cup playing hoof?Talking bollocks. 25822[/snapback] No. O'Neill was a very direct manager. We were extremely dependent on set peices and the height of our squad.
Oli Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 Bollocks have we always played the hoof. We might of played abit, but we never played it all the time like we do now! Talk some sense.
Guest Daniel Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 Its unbelivable people can brown nose this comedian that tried to ruin our club. Oh well, what does it take to dislike someone? Why dont we get Peter Taylor back lads? He was a ood manager wernt he?
Ash Posted 11 October 2004 Author Posted 11 October 2004 Why did Micky try and ruin are club ? Why BM ?
TrickyTrev Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 No, no he wasn't, but he like Adams did not TRY and ruin our club. They both wanted to win games of football for our club.
Sparky Posted 11 October 2004 Posted 11 October 2004 only recent manager who played attractive football was mcghee , o neill made us play to our maximum every game and that did include lumping it to marshall/heskey/elliott but it worked and i would rather be succesful playin hoof than watch the beautiful game and be beaten

McGhee was very good for us, we were top of the league and playing great football until he left for Wolves because he thought they were a bigger club. ::

Whilst some of the Mickey out brigade are beginning to wish they hadn't said what they said because they feel sorry, you remain constant. I don't agree with you but at least you're constant. You remind me of Alf Garnett with your views.
