dan_84 Posted 21 October 2004 Posted 21 October 2004 our last two games under Bassett and SGT wilko iv noticed thath finally we are trying to play good football. which isnt normally associated with a ary bassett team. is this a case of wilko working with the players or a case of what Micky did is finally comming off and we are gelling as a team?????? In my opinion its because of wilko....
dhermon Posted 21 October 2004 Posted 21 October 2004 i must say after missing the first 5 minutes only to hear we were 1 down already i was not thinking kind thoughts but i was pleased with our fight back best game so far i would say going by radio also once we got into the game u could really hear the fans raise their voices and make some real noise

They would of just hoofed it up, but they played football, i looked at ipswich and though what a good understanding they have, if we can attack like them and defend well i can see us going up, through the play offs. Ipswich have blooded in youngsters and it has worked well for them, also in financial terms. They have sold scowy, ambrose, bramble, richard wright, dyer. If they had not got this money they could of folded.

That is why they can bring so many youngsters through and still perform well, because they can come into the first team and ease into it. Bit different here, learn to pass it at youth and reserve team level and then they'd have to adapt. Not many will have that problem anyway its fair to say cause we're scared of a potential success.

Considering that much of the board is based upon moaning as are your own posts, It was rather refreshing to see somebody say something positive. Not so much irony as certainty to see petrescu mention youth policy and you back him up, specifically when i post an alternative view. But i'm sure you'll get brownie points for that at the moderator of the year awards.

I certainly am not implying that I'm generally positive and have certainly found considerably more to moan about this season - so no, not the pot calling the kettle black, I admit to being black. As you well know different opinions are essential in order to have a lively, interesting and thought provoking forum so I'll refer you to my original comment " if everyone continued in the same vein it would become very repetitive and boring" Irony was you often come on here commenting on negativity, unfortunately to achieve that you have to inevitable moan yourself. As for supporting Petrescu, I have actually been known to reprimand him on air so to speak, if I thought my freedom to post and say what I felt on here was compromised by my role as moderator then I wouldn't be doing it. If anyone really believes what you say let me know and I shall relinquish the role. Well I think I'll stop there as I'm exposing another of my faults, I tend to go on a too long once I get started and that can also become boring. :w00t:
