Is Ade really a 10 goal a season man in the Premiership? Ability wise clearly not but that is what he manged for us. People can be incredibly thickle at times.

Scow Posted 24 October 2004 Posted 24 October 2004 I didn't boo or applaud him. He didn't deserve the attention. He played Ok yesterday, ran Heath ragged at times. He set up the goal by heading it down to Asaba to score. Then he missed a shocking header in the second half when he was only 2 yards out, the memories came flooding back.

I wouldn't really class Wolves as local - then you'd have to say teams like West Brom, Walsall, Kidderminster Harriers, Stoke etc are local rivals. In reality our three main rivals are Cov, Derby, and Forest.

I dislike Akinbiyi because he's arrogant and he refused to accept that he wasn't up to it at Leicester. I remember hearing an interview with him just after Taylor was sacked and Bassett had taken over, the interviewer asked him if he was out to prove himself to the new manager and Ade said 'I don't have to prove anything to anybody' the interviewer responded 'surely when a new manager comes in every player has to prove himself' Akinbiyi said 'well not me'. That's enough for me not to like him, along with the fact he was a shocking footballer. I mean I can accept a player who's crap but has a likeable personality but only for comical reasons like Benjamin but when someone's crap and arrogant then they can bollocks. His 15 chances against Liverpool a few years ago will go down in history, we should sign him and play him in defence because boy could he hoof.
