Nationwider Posted 29 March 2006 Posted 29 March 2006 Does anyone else listen to any Johnny Cash? I randomly bought a 2xCD compilation about 3 years ago, for no reason other than it was cheap in HMV. He died the following week. I've been gripped ever since. The guy had an unbelievable voice - it sort of stays with you like a punch in the guts. Everything from The Day Hank Williams Came To Town to his cover of U2's One - officially the best cover version ever (according to me). I absolutely love the guy. Does anyone make music that sounds like this any more? For anyone that's interested, I recommend "The Man Comes Around" as an introduction, and "Johnny Cash at San Quentin" to follow that.
