Ricey Posted 22 July 2004 Posted 22 July 2004 With just a few weeks remaining til we kick off the Championship season against West Ham are you excited? I certainly am! I expected not to be because 2 years have gone and we are back in the same position. However it's a fresh start for Leicester and with the signings we have made it's really got me excited about the coming season. The thought of players like Connelly, Dublin, Tiatto, Keown, Nalis, Walker, Williams etc playing for us in the Championship excites me. We will win plenty of games next season and score lots of goals, it should be very enjoyable....IF we go up.
Scow Posted 22 July 2004 Posted 22 July 2004 I'm always excited about football - Even more so after signing the likes of Keown, Williams, Connolly and Dublin, which provides a good spine for the team. Hopefully, we'll be able to pass the ball around a bit more next season then we have in recent times. Micky has said he likes to play football that way, but he's been restricted because he's never had the chance to bring in his own type of players. (Some may laugh at that, however he's got rid of players who we could have easily kept on for next season.)
Ricey Posted 22 July 2004 Author Posted 22 July 2004 I'm currently watching the 2002/03 season review DVD and it really has wetted my appetite for this season. That season was throughly enjoyable and had so many good memorys, its nice to think we have plenty more to look forward to this season.
Mark Posted 22 July 2004 Posted 22 July 2004 Very excited now. I still feel we could improve the midfield but the attack looks promising. Connolly will be looking to the first game more than a few i'm sure

Millwall at home was brilliant - Not just because we thrashed Dennis Wise et al 4-1, but Scowy was on fire that day, Unstoppable. :!: ::

gagandeep Posted 22 July 2004 Posted 22 July 2004 Very excited now. I still feel we could improve the midfield but the attack looks promising. Connolly will be looking to the first game more than a few i'm sure and the defence is solid if it gels. we pehaps need 2 more midfielders, left/right winder, and a defensive midfielder. and signing makin, isaac, quadoo(the trialists)

Scow Posted 22 July 2004 Posted 22 July 2004 i'm well excited, ithink that we'll get promoted! if we have a good start. The key is to get a good start like we did last time - And make sure we don't draw too many home games!

Joe_Fox Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 I'm well excited about next season. I really am optimistic about it really. I think Micky has made some very intelligent signings and hopefully they can prove to be strokes of genius and fire us back up to the premier division.
