Head Honcho Posted 23 June 2006 Posted 23 June 2006 They were awarded £4 The have a legal bill of £5 million The world is run by facking morons Can't believe the Football League wanted to take their former, wait for it! " Legal Advisors" to court. I wonder if their current legal advisors will be sued What makes me laugh about this the most is that because they won the case there is no appeal, you couldn't make it up!
Daggers Posted 23 June 2006 Author Posted 23 June 2006 The league have released a statement to say: "We are obviously disappointed by this verdict. Subject to considering possible grounds for appeal The League will draw a line under this matter and move on. "The collapse of ITV Digital marked a watershed for The Football League and its clubs. In the years since, The League has re-branded and delivered a programme of good governance reforms designed to deliver financial stability and long-term sustainability to its clubs. This will continue." Obviously, good governance didn't include throwing away £5million on another flight of fancy. Pinheads all.
